15:15 – We are currently experiencing traffic issues impacting our London AS1 and AS2 services. We are investigating the source and impact of this issue and will provide an update as soon as our engineers have further information.
15:36 – Our London AS1 and AS2 services are now recovered and we are proceeding to analyse the cause of this outage. We will provide a further update once we have found what caused this issue and any steps required to prevent future re-occurrence.
16:14 – Reason for Outage – This outage was found to have been caused by an incorrect entry being input into one of our databases which in turn caused erroneous data to be propagated to the AS1 and AS2 services in London. This bad data cut off IP transit for customers connected to these services. Engineers reverted the change and traffic flow was restored. Improved data validation procedures will be implemented on the service in order to ensure this issue is not seen again.
